OUR STORY
Blackswan Cybersecurity was created in February of 2020 as the commercial, for-profit cybersecurity service delivery arm of the non-profit Cyber Defense Center.
Blackswan’s seasoned management team and cyber experts provide services and capabilities that support the full lifecycle of cybersecurity, including Advisory, IT Audit, Risk, and Compliance, Remediation Support, Cyber Assessments, Digital Forensics and Incident Response, and 24×7 Managed Cybersecurity Services.
Blackswan Cybersecurity is a leader in fit-for-purpose cybersecurity solutions. Blackswan helps companies identify the right safeguards for protecting their data assets and outperforming cybersecurity compliance requirements by offering customizable, comprehensive suite of skills, capabilities, and services.
Our services range from comprehensive 24/7/365 managed security services (SOC-as-a-service), assessment-level gap analysis, vulnerability identification and remediation, incident and breach response, user awareness training, GRC assessments and analysis, and virtual CISO services.
Powered by Blackswan’s Cyber Fusion Center, Blackswan Cybersecurity provides around the clock access to cyber professionals and ‘eyes-on-glass’ threat monitoring, detection, and remediation services from the North Texas-based Cyber Fusion Center (SOC evolved).
Blackswan Cybersecurity strives to democratize enterprise-level security services, offering the same level of skills, capabilities, and protection against data breaches for organizations of all sizes.
BLACKSWAN’S ECOSYSTEM
CYBER FUTURE FOUNDATION
Blackswan Cybersecurity is a founding member of the Cyber Future Foundation (CFF).
CFF is a not-for-profit organization that was established to create a brighter and more trusted future for cyberspace where digital commerce and innovation can thrive based on trust and respect for individual privacy.
The mission of CFF is to provide a collaborative platform for industry, public agencies, academia and civil society towards building a more trusted and secure cyber space at a global level. CFF provides a leadership forum for sharing ideas at the highest level and a platform for converting them to action.
CYBER DEFENSE CENTER
Founded in 2011, the Cyber Defense Center 501(c)(3) is the non-profit arm of Blackswan Cybersecurity. The CDC provides cybersecurity students with guided access to cybersecurity practitioners and hands-on, real-world experience.
The CDC administers an Internship program registered with the U.S. Department of Labor. This CDC apprenticeship enables aspiring student cybersecurity practitioners to gain relevant experience via a structured program of supervised projects, presentations, and leadership training aligned with entry-level job requirements in the cybersecurity field.
The delineation of non-profit and for-profit organizations allows the Cyber Defense Center to focus solely on its cyber education and R&D mission, without any conflict of resource allocation or interest. Staying abreast of the latest cyber threats, tactics, and technologies is a core competency of the CDC, providing ancillary benefits for Blackswan’s Cyber Fusion Center operations and professional cybersecurity services.
Since 2012, the Cyber Defense Center has trained, mentored, and developed over 1,000 entry-level-ready cybersecurity practitioners.
